The Skills and Education Group Awards have been working with specialists to update the current suite of Volunteer Management qualifications and are pleased to announce that the new qualifications will be going ‘live’ on the 1 November 2019.
The new qualifications feature updated terminology, more focused assessment criteria and indicative content to assist with lesson planning. They will continue to provide learners with some skills and knowledge that will:
- provide a starting point for those interested in the volunteer management role within the voluntary, community, public and private sectors
- help learners to develop and consolidate skills and practice in contexts where there are volunteers needing support, management and co-ordination.
On completion of these qualifications, learners will be able to progress onto further study or employment. Please note that the current Volunteer Management provision will be withdrawn to new registrations on 31 October 2019.
